Which country have better IT industry and why, India or China?
They can manufacture any integrated circuits other than 5 nm CPUs and they will have that technology soon and soon after that maybe 3 or even 2. They have many more university graduates coming out every year than any other country in the world and sometimes 8 times more — this is the figure for the US.
China's defence technologies surpass most American technologies in this field and India doesn't come even close to the US let alone China. India still cannot solve the issue with Rafele planes or make their own comparable aircraft.
I read a lot of answers similar to yours where the answer suggests that India is best at everything — this cannot be true as, in your heart, you know. Answers such as this just tell me that too many people in India have to make statements like yours so they don't feel insecure and to try to feel better about India than they really feel.
Please don't forget that the best people in India mostly leave to go to other countries and this is not a good thing for India. Need to start creating jobs for these meritorious people or India will have few left at some time in the future
India has a larger software outsourcing business. But overall, China’s software business is much larger and stronger than India. China has a way bigger domestic software market. This healthy market is the reason why there are so many creative Chinese apps. India’s domestic software has yet reached the self-sustainable level. India has many talented software developers. The domestic market can’t support them. Many of them migrated to the states. Others are doing not so creative back office software service work.
I have been criticizing this Government and Private Sector Policy Perversity, publicly, since the days when I was considered a “Guru” of the Indian IT Industry, and my articles on IT used to appear regularly in Dataquest, Computers Today and Economic Times, and I was Co-Chairman of MAIT, Member (Informatics) of the Core-Group of FICCI as well as a member of the Rajaraman Committee (GoI) on Computer Education. (1985- 1993)
China is developing, creating and manufacturing original Hardware, Firmware, System Software and Application Software albeit with a foundation built out of piracy and hacking. China makes mega strategic investments in Research and Development, Education and Training

7.For Indian, having job is more important than making money. Resources are available so easily and in abundance. You need not to bother about pay packages.
8.They don't take leave, infact you can call them on Diwali.
9.Once you given them onsite, they will work for a decade.
10.Good Family support system. That works in company , infact more closely, language and place bind them. So any good manager will respect that. Decode them accordingly. Telugu Team, Marathi Team, Gujrati team. So they select resources of interest which make them team bonding madly strong.
I have 2 degrees of separation awareness with China IT services.
For domestic demand with China’s local requirements in Chinese language China IT services industry is quite sufficient. Due to China’s insular economic and social construct, IT services for exports are yet to pick up. There is also an angle of pegged currency in China which makes pricing not very competitive in the export market.
On the software products and platforms, there is much net chatter, on how China is rivalling Silicon Valley. Since i dont have any direct exposure, my guess is as good as anybody.
From outside it looks like China’s IP protection (or lack of it) does help in building out next gen platforms.

So far as SW (IT support/maintenance/bug-fixing) is concerned, India has the edge but that is eroding. As you can guess, getting expertise in SW/programming is not very difficult, it will not call for any large investment or long learning curve compared to developing expertise in HW.
For instance, Philippines and Ireland do a lot of customer support because they have no problem with American/British English accent as Indians have.
On the other hand, China developed very good edge in HW area, you see Chinese made gadgets everywhere. For that, they need some SW expertise anyway (e.g. firmware for their products). Due to this, Chinese are not inferior to anyone.
1.It possess the creativity and refinement potentiality,
2.Over 30 crores of Indians know the English, greater than the population of USA.
3.However, China is better in hardware, though their quality is very very inferior,
4.Indians are more apt in mathematics in general, than the USA,
5.China is poor in every research, innovation, they theft the technology of others and starts their reverse engineering, it is applicable in hardware, but not in software. The later requires the knowledge., China do not have.
Hardware is dominated by China and India is no where near it.
Software Product development is also dominated by China but India is picking up.
Service sector is dominated by India but many countries are picking up because no state in India is helping them to settle in 2nd tier cities in India and bangalore is saturated
India is much much ahead of China on IT front. Reason is simple, India started much ahead of China on IT front and most importantly India has a large English speaking community which China lacks. China has realised this and is trying to catchup. At the same time TCS and other big IT companies have established their presence in China to take advantage of Chinese business.
IT has various departments. India is leading in Software IT & China is trying to lead in AI but without software : AI can't survive so India is the leader. Software is essential for programming in AI too.
